The Ministry of Lands and Housing has invited members of the public to purchase ready units constructed under the government’s affordable housing project in Bondeni, Nakuru County.
The ministry stated that two-bedroom units measuring 64 Square Metres will be going for Sh3.2 million while 3-bedroom units measuring 85 Square metres will cost Sh4.3 million.

Once qualified, a buyer will be offered a rent-to-own home loan at a monthly rate of Sh16,997 for the two-bedroom house and Sh22,933 for the three-bedroom house.
Members of the public interested in purchasing ready units constructed under the government’s affordable housing project in Bondeni, Nakuru County, will have to deposit 10%.
In an advertisement , interested buyers have been advised to visit the site for viewing and later register on the Boma Yangu Portal (https://www.bomayangu.go.ke/) to purchase their units of choice.
looking at the above, the cost per square meter falls around Ksh 50,000. This rate is way above affordable and standard finishes expected at the houses. With the number of houses and shared amenities, the government should have.
